I read a book.

Reading is really a good habit. Consider this: You are reading someone else's thoughts. It is as close to mind-reading as you'll ever get. And these thoughts are laid bare for you not only to critique, react to, and empathize with, but to explore asynchronously with very little effort. Reading opens up access to incredible amounts of information and knowledge that've been recorded in print for hundreds of years, maybe many hundreds of years depending on your mother tongue. The same cannot be said of video or television formats.
